Near perfect race conditions welcomed the riders to Finniss on Sunday for Round 4 of the 2017 Lattes Race Series.
The quiet achievements of Hannah Seeliger over the last couple of years as a developing junior rider were consolidated today when she took out the bunch sprint against some stiff competition from senior riders.
Rhiannon Hughes and Kayla McSporran who were off scratch blasted off the start line determined to reel in the riders up the road. The blistering early pace they had set saw them catch chopping block around the 14 km mark and Hughes did not take her foot off the pedal as she worked her way through the field, and eventually caught limit in the closing 7kms.
The final km saw four riders, all from different handicap groupings, realise that it was going to come down to a downhill sprint finish.
